This career cluster is organized into five career pathways which include, Emergency and Fire Management, Security and Protective Services, Law Enforcement Services, Legal Services, Correction Services. 

Career and Technical Program Prerequisites

Law & Public Safety - Year 1

C or higher in last English and Math

or

TABE Score (8th Grade) & Instructor Approval

or

Pass Year 1 with average of 70 or higher

Firefighter Training

Law and Public Safety classes attend Field Experience trainings at the Carthage Fire Department each week.  Students learn how to properly put on fire turnouts, search and rescue methods, how to effectively put out fires, and what a 24 hour shift looks like.
